Dear Outreach Trainers,


Card RequestProcessingwill be postponed until January 28, 2021.

The health and safety of the RMEC staff and customers is our first concern.

RMEC appreciates your patience and cards will be processed as soon as outreach staff members return.

That status/permission has been granted on a week to week basis depending on developments of the COVID-19 virus.

At this time outreach cards will process at least once a week and mailed to outreach trainers no later than Thursday each week.

Due to the Corona Virus Pandemic,

OSHA DTE has also temporarily waived the 60 days in advance requirement for an exception request. 

  •  All exception requests must still comply with the Outreach Training Program Requirements

  • They must include a detailed narrative describing the need for the exception and explain why the inherent flexibility of the program is not sufficient, they must be in writing, they may not accompany any other exception request for the same class, and must meet all the requirements found in the Outreach Training Program Requirements.

  • Please ensure the request address the 16 items in Section V.R.2)a. – p. All 16 items in the Outreach Training Requirements Section V.R.2.a)-p) must be addressed. The largest number of disapprovals stems from not providing course/class dates as the detailed topic outline requires it under Section V.P.3. That section states “The outline must indicate the course title, location, and the actual date and time period (e.g. 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.) of every topic delivered, and include all breaks and meal periods”. Requests are not and will not be considered as a blanket approval. I ask that you screen the request(s) prior to forwarding it to DTE by ensuring that all required contents are justified.

  • Please include delivery method type such as Teams, ZOOM, Etc. A link must be provided to megp@okstate.edu if course goes virtual.

  • Online delivery will be considered thru July 31, 2021

  • Please submit these request ASAP.

Be sure all your contact information is correct in the portal as well. It is your responsibility to keep that up to date when you move change your address, change jobs or get a new e mail, or phone numbers.

Cards will print for the last time in December on December 23rd. The next printing will be on January 7th, 2021. Have a safe and wonderful holiday season.

  • Trainers must submit class documentation within 30 days of class completion in order to be issued outreach cards.

  • Trainers must provide student course completion cards to students within 30 days of receipt.

  • Trainers must issue student course completion cards directly to the student, regardless of who paid for the training. Cards must be sent to the students address listed on the daily sign in sheets or deliver to students directly. Trainers who fail to comply with this requirement may be subjected to corrective action by OSHA, up to and including the revocation of authorized trainer status.

  • Replacement of student course outreach cards will not be issued if the training took place more than three years ago - if original training occurred more than 3 years ago - student must attend training again to be issued a new outreach card. Only one replacement may be issued per student.
